Our Quality Control Process
Four-stage quality assurance embedded throughout the manufacturing lifecycle
Incoming Material Inspection
All raw materials — steel coils, aluminium extrusions, MDF boards, fabrics, foams, and hardware — are inspected against our material specifications before being accepted into inventory. We verify steel thickness with micrometres, MDF density and formaldehyde emission levels, fabric abrasion resistance, and foam density. Non-conforming materials are rejected at the gate.
In-Process Quality Checks
Quality control points are embedded at every stage of production: after laser cutting (dimensional accuracy to 0.1mm), after CNC bending (angle verification), after welding (weld penetration and visual inspection), after powder coating (coating thickness, adhesion, and colour matching), and after edge banding (bond strength and alignment). Each workstation has a QC check sheet that must be signed off before the batch proceeds.
Finished Product Testing
Completed products undergo comprehensive testing in our in-house laboratory. Tests include: static load testing (desks to 150kg), cycle testing (drawers to 80,000 cycles, chair mechanisms to 100,000 cycles), stability testing (tip-over resistance), surface durability (scratch, stain, and impact resistance), and chemical emission testing (formaldehyde and VOC levels). Test data is recorded and archived for every production batch.
Pre-Shipment Audit
Before any order leaves our factory, our QA team conducts a pre-shipment inspection on a statistically representative sample (AQL 2.5 for standard orders, AQL 1.0 for premium products). The audit covers: quantity verification, dimensional check against order specifications, colour and finish matching against approved samples, functional testing of all moving parts, packaging integrity, and labelling accuracy. An inspection report is provided with every shipment.
